I like this guy.
Against Pitt yesterday, Hubbard used a third period ride out to beat Elijah Cleary, last year's starter for OSU.
The previous time out Hubbard scored a takedown against defending national champ AOC and was in on another shot before getting funked to his back and pinned.
Hubbard's long and moves good enough, and he can work the boots from top. He can be a top 20 guy at this weight, assuming he gets the nod over Hepner.
Cleary is a tough out and was extra motivated to show out in front of his old team. This was a good win.

I wondered, since all three were in the room last year, if they knew who had the best chance of beating Cleary based on what was seen in the practice room? I like Hepner, but Hubbard was impressive against AOC. Based on his HS credentials, I am a little disappointed Wilcox hasn't shown more at 157.
