How does Will Betancourt get a thread and not Rocky Jordan lol? You guys must all be playing with me. I was waiting for someone to start this. In all reality it pretty much verifies that Kaleb will be back. Don’t ever see Rocky as an all American but can definiteley get some wins at nationals. I wonder where he ends up. I think I remember Micah was real close to going to Purdue. Maybe the Jordans have some sort of connection with them? Anyway good luck Rocky

Didn't Suriano go from Rutgers to Michigan? Or was it different since he'd been off for a year?

I didn’t create a new thread but did mention it a couple of days ago in the Bucks 2022-23 thread.

My son is an amazing student and a frosh at OU. Suffice it to say all undergrad institutions offer a lot if you avail yourself of the opportunities. My point about Rocky was that I think he belongs at a D1 wrestling program where he can step in and make a difference. I see both those programs as possibilities. Throw Kent in there as well.

Good luck to him wherever he goes. Like Hank, I would like to see him at CSU or OU. He seems like a great hardworking kid and deserves a shot at starting somewhere.

Flo wrestling has a new article regarding the 2023 race. It has a link at the end of it. Behind the paywall.

Hank already addressed this I feel the need to expand on it. For context I have a degree from OU and a Masters Degree from Ohio State. When I was applying to colleges in the mid 90's OU and Miami were the top State schools academically. I had numerous close friends that went to Ohio State as a default when they did not get into OU. A lot has changed at Ohio State in the last 25 years and OSU Main campus is indeed difficult to get into (concessions are made for elite athletes/recruits I presume) however this does not effect admission criteria at OU at all.

I was just joking, hard to properly convey sarcasm online.

No doubt, there's been a shift in the state over that time. OSU is now by far the highest ranked, and also the hardest to get into. That said, none of the Ohio state schools' requirements are terribly stringent (compared to the likes of Michigan, UVA or UNC). OSU's main campus admits ~60% of applicants vs. Miami and OU at ~90%.
Regardless, it's less important where you go (with a few exceptions), and more important what you do while you're there.
