Does this mean they will be getting wrestling programs? That would be great for wrestling if this happens. Does the big ten require it?

The Big Ten requires it of current members. I strongly doubt that requirement will extend to USC and UCLA.

absolutely they will, Cal has alot of good wrestlers, these 2 schools can afford it, wont want to be left out .. they are all-in on the other Olympic sports-- might have womens teams too, Cal might be the top womens state, just crushed the comp at Jr Duals--- this is HUGE for wrestling
im giving this assessment my highest mark-- no, not the mark of Zorro, rather the mark of Dano #bookemdano.com
California Women’s Duals Champs Again
TULSA, Okla. – As reported by USA Wrestling, “Two of the top favorites, California and Michigan Blue, powered their way into the finals of the Gold/Silver pool at the Junior Women’s National Duals. California, which had won this event many times, including most recently in 2021, won again 39-26. The Golden State has a history of wrestling well at because of its amazing team depth. Michigan brought a star-studded lineup to Tulsa, looking to show off its rise on the national scene. California was strong in the light weights, with Michigan powerful up top.”
California blew Michigan out right off the bat starting with an upset win over a ranked wrestler. Mikayla Garcia held off Gigi Bragg for a 12-7 victory at 106. A pair of nationally ranked wrestlers for California took out their next two opponents with technical falls in less than a minute each. Kiely Tabaldo of California 11-0 technical fall over Savannah Winkleblack at 112 pounds. Arieana Arias a 10-0 win over Hannah Arledge-Teran at 117 pounds.
