Gomez's comeback has been quite fun to watch, you have to feel great for him. That said, I think this re-focuses Yianni.

You could tell two things. First Gomez was ticked about getting upset. Secondly, his coaches had prepared him for certain tendencies that Yianni has.
Kudos to the staff at Wisconsin. Sharp coaching makes a difference. And that was a helluva nice job by Gomez. That's how you come back after a crappy performance.

Well his coaches had him ready for Sammy last year, he was ready for him. They meet next week in the All-Star contest.

Gomez finishes so clean on all of his opponents. That’s the difference as to why he can beat guys like Sammy and Yanni. He doesn’t allow it to turn into a scramble, just a lightening quick finish. Andonian matches him in explosiveness and was able to put up big numbers on him during NCAAs last year. I think Gomez has Sammy’s number and will likely beat him for the third time next week. I hope I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen Sammy develop any kind of offense that would lead me to believe he can score off of his own leg attacks against guys like Gomez and Yanni.
