Was thinking about this the other day. When will the last of the Covid years be done?

Saw where the women's volleyball team after reaching the quarterfinals are losing 5 seniors from the team. All 5 have a year left due to covid but next year the scholarships go back to pre-covid levels, according to the article. So the coach had to make the choice to honor scholarships given to incoming freshman or retain the seniors. All 5 are transferring to other colleges and all are onboard and understanding of the decision. I'm wondering how that will affect college wrestling going forward. It does make for some interesting choices for coaches on how to handle the scholarships

A lot of these super senior years haven’t gone as planned; Micic, Marinelli, Eierman, etc.. we’ll see with Spencer Lee and Ethan Smith.

I believe Sasso and Hoffman have already said they are taking additional years. True Sophomores are the first group of “normal” post Covid. Based off that here is where they sit excluding this year

125: Heinsleman 5th year senior: 0
133: Mendes true frosh 3, RS available/ Bousakis RS 4
141: D’Emilio RS Jr 2, Decatur St 1 RS available
149: Sasso RS Sr 1
157: Gallagher RS frosh 3
165: Kharchla RS Jr 2 (I have low confidence he takes them all)
174: Smith 6th year 0
184: Romero 6th year 0
197: Hoffman RS Sr 1
285: Orndorf 6th year 0

Wilcox is a jr. With 2 years left
