I see Luke Geog will be wrestling #10 Silas Allred. I'm wondering if Luke wins, might they pull his redshirt? Also Kaleb looks to have a tough match with #15 Lenny Pinto. Given Tom's past history and Kaleb being a bit banged up, I'm thinking Kaleb won't go. Am looking forward to Ethan and Mikey going at it again. Ethan got him last time hope for the same Fri.

I like Geog but have seen huge improvement out of Hoffman over the last year. He's so much better at getting to his single and good with his finishes. Out on bottom too although he is surprisingly poor on top of a PA wrestler.
I do think Dean is a bad matchup for him. But Hoffman can AA again this year if he's healthy and esp. with a decent draw.
One thing about Hoffman. He was terrible on his feet when he got to tOSU. He has worked hard to develop his offense. Kudos to him and the staff.

No need to pull his redshirt. Ohio state is not ready to compete for a title. He would have to beat a dean or a top 2-3 guy. Number 10 is not justifiable. He will be much better in four years then this year.

I agree with you, but I love the new RS rule where we can use Geog and see where he's at this point, plus it allows Hoffman to get healthy. BTW, I wish Wilcox had not got injured. They made him a black shirt this week, what a team player wrestling and winning at 3 different weights. Good for him.

Wrestlestat.com has the Buckeyes winning 16-15 with Sammy getting a major for the deciding point. They have Nebraska winning 125, 141, 157, 174 and 197, all by decision.
They have the Bucks winning 133, 149, 165, 185 and 285.
I think the Bucks could win 125 and 174, and I can't wait to see Geog at 197.
The only match the Buckeyes are favored in that I think they can lose is 285. I know Pinto is highly ranked, but he isn't beating Romero on senior night. Hardy could upset D'Emilio, but I don't see that happening.
I think the Bucks sneak out a close victory.

Hardy won the CKLV and is ranked 5th, so it wouldn't be an upset if Hardy beat him.

I must have been looking at the wrong kid. If that's the case, Nebraska would be favored to win the dual and the Bucks need an upset at 125, 141, 174 or 197 to win.

Hoping Romero can give it a go on senior night. He hurt his finger against Aaron Brooks last Friday and did not compete against Northwestern. He’s likely needed for a team win.
Of interest, Sasso and Hoffman appear to have decided on coming back next year. Both are in their fourth year in the lineup but apparently won’t be honored with the other seniors. The free Covid year will again benefit the Bucks in 23-24.

Geog will overtake Hoffman by next year. Maybe already has. Kaleb is out and Carson tonight. Ohio state isn’t winning.
