I hear seeds are released but haven't come across them yet.
I heard Hepner is #2 seed at 165, so hopefully he's back and healthy.
FLO states that 17 high school wrestlers are entered in the Open including Jax Forrest (125) and Bo Bassett (133)
Some Ohio guys entered:
Blaze (125)
King (141, OSU commit)
Joy (149)
Chase (149, OSU commit)
Ty Wilson (149)
Birden (165, OSU commit)

List of all registered is available on Flo Arena. No Hepner or Hoffman. Most of the rest of the TOSU roster is listed, including Karchla. Several high schoolers do appear as well.

At 125 im hoping someone emerges. Looking at field we may not even have a placer here. I hope someone can separate themselves after this weekend. I put money on Jax Forrest and Blaze both to beat everyone other than Ramos. They may be wrestling for second.
133 is my most anticipated match up. Bassett and Bouzakis. This match up has fireworks written all over it. I think Bouzakis probably squeaks out a win. It will be high scoring I believe. Bassett is going to push the pace and constantly attack and Bouzakis does tend to get sloppy sometimes.

I think Bouzakis will handle Bassett without issue if they were to meet.

I really hope that is the case but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s way too close. Bassett completely dominated a very very strong field at super 32 that included Davino. Last year Jax Forrest dominated Gonzales and Mccrone. These three kids from McCourt are going to be superstars at the next level. Tom Ryan needs to be all over them this weekend lol. Don’t let Penn state win this one!

No Hepner, Hoffman, or Geog listed for Sundays event. Everyone else looks to be a go. Looking forward to seeing Feldman, Welch, and Regotske in action. Add Kilkeary to that as well.

Most recent article from Flo for the Clarion Open lists Hepner, Hoffman and Geog as competing, so conflicting information. Unless TOSU has put out a list, I guess we’ll have to wait till tomorrow.

Those three are not competing according to OSU.

Rob, the number of college wrestlers who would handle Bassett is very small. Bouzakis I’m thinking isn’t one of them.

Kilkeary gave a nice effort losing 1st round to Matt Ramos. His D was excellent and he was in on single with 10 seconds to go down 2-0. He went for the finish but Ramos countered out for 2 and ended up winning 5-0. Ramos, you might recall, was in last years NCAA finals.
Kilkeary is not a big 125. Fenton and McCrone won 1st round

No Feldman? I don't see him on the bracket.
