Shane Van Ness, per Cael, is out for the season due to an undisclosed injury.

Wow, that should move Dylan up to 4th behind Lovett, Henson & Parco. He would be 2nd in the Big Ten as of now.

While that will have minimal impact on the team race I do think that substantially changes 149. I know Lovett is the prohibitive favorite, but Van Ness was a strong candidate to make the finals and potentially win the title. Unfortunate.

He’ll be replaced in the lineup with star freshman Tyler Kasak who I suspect will be an AA contender by March.
Tough blow for SVN. Small blow for Penn State.

Yeah tough break for sure when I found out about it last week I knew it would be a blow for Cael and the guys but I think they will respond well and fill the line-up with a quality wrestler so often this sport comes down to who is physically healthy and mentally sharp I remember watching Shayne wrestle in high school and I just knew he was special the team who was able to recruit and land him would be the better for it and now that he is at Penn State I try not to root for him out of loyalty to the Buckeyes but good wrestling is good wrestling right You can't deny that But now he is hurt I just hope the best for him because he is such a good kid

He will be an undersized 149 and from PSU boards its not a 100% they pull his RS.
