Rumor is he’s done for the season. I’ve yet to see confirmation from media or the staff. Anyone know one way or the other?

Thanks, Jeff. What’s the plan to replace him in the lineup?

If this is true it's a shame. Carson is fun to watch when he's in the groove. Hard to imagine him using anymore eligibility if he's done for this year.

Carson, when healthy, is such a dynamic wrestler, really a shame to see how much injuries have limited him. He would have another year left, potentially, wouldn't he?

TR confirmed done. Welsh the starter for the rest of the year (red shirt pulled). Although I do believe Carson likely could get a medical with his injury history, and he still has his Covid year, I think that’s likely a wrap on his collegiate career. Five years, a degree, and a myriad of injuries is enough IMO. Let’s not forget that the injuries started in high school. He missed lots of time throughout his scholastic career. The body can only take so much, and I think when you hear him interviewed he has a pretty healthy perspective on wrestling. It’s not all consuming , and he sounds like someone with other interests and ideas. Would I be surprised to see him show up at the US open in a year or two, maybe a little but not shocked. Freestyle has always been his first love. Solid career, unfortunately derailed by the breakdown of physical limitations.
