On paper this should not be a competitive dual.
125 #24 McCrone vs. #4 Davis. (Vinny K beat Davis at WNO)
I'm not sure Davis is #4 ranked kid his best win is against #14 DeAugustino.
133 #12 Bouzakis vs. #5 Nagao
141 #3 Mendez vs. #2 Bartlett
149 #9 D'Emilio vs. #12 Kasak
157 #30 Wilcox vs. #1 Haines
165 #21 Hepner vs. #7 Mesenbrink
174 #11 Welsh vs. #1 Starocci
184 #32 Shumate vs. #5 Truax
197 #22 Geog vs. #1 Brooks
285. #16 Feldman vs. #1 Kerkvliet
I can see Bucks winning 41-49 with potential of winning 25 and maybe 33. After that I think PSU wins the rest with bonus.

Can Bucks ride any momentum after that great Michigan dual?
let's come out healthy and try to keep many of these matches relatively close.
Will be very satisfied if Mendez wins. Penn St is just that good.

This is going to be a very ugly dual. Mendes and demilio are both toss ups. If Rotogotzke goes there is always a chance. Shumate zero chance.
There is no evidence in my mind that Mccrone should be the starter. Kilkeary can win this match if he goes. He beat Davis this summer. Other than the fluke pin against nc state Kilkeary has had better individual results imo.
Kilkeary took Diakamaholis into overtime.
Kilkeary nearly beat Gallagher a top 20 kid from Penn.
Kilkeary gave Ramos all he could handle. Watch the match. He was so close and should have finished at the end and won 3-2
Kilkeary beat Lujan
Kilkeary gives up 3 not 5 against Michigan if he goes
Mccrone has gotten absolutely handled by last three kids ranked.
Mccrone lost to Lujan.
Mccrone I give little chance of being in this match.
Time for a change at 125. I have watched almost all of both wrestlers matches. Kilkeary is just better. Am I the only one that thinks this?

In fairness to the bucks, who's going to give PSU a competitive dual?

Good point Hank and the answer is no one.
Iowa will get beat just as bad as Bucks will against PSU.
Iowa could win 25-41-49.
33- PSU (potential bonus)
57- PSU
65- PSU (potential bonus)
74- PSU (potential bonus)
84- PSU (potential bonus)
97- PSU (potential bonus)
285.- PSU (potential bonus)
If you picked the best 10 kids from B10 could they beat PSU?
Ramos vs. Davis - 3-0
Ragusin vs. Nagao - 6-0
Mendez vs. Bartlett -9-0
Gomez/Lovett vs. Kasak - 12-0 (potential bonus)
Blockus/Franek vs. Haines - 12-3
Hamiti vs. Mesenbrink - 12-6
Griffth vs. Starocci - 12-9
Pinto vs. Truax - 15-9
Smith vs. Brooks - 15 -14
Feldman/Davidson vs. Kerk. 15-18
I think PSU wins 18-15

He probably is, but it would be a major waste to start him now.
Kilkeary has had a productive redshirt season. Why thrust him into the lineup with a month left in the season just to watch him take 8th in the Big 10?

The staff has to consider wrestling Kilkeary in this dual at least. He can wrestle without losing his redshirt. If Kilkeary wins you start him going forward. If he loses let him redshirt. Davis is good but he is definitely over ranked. Kilkeary has the victory over him h2h also.
Also is it said that Shumate is wrestling? I find that hard to believe with Tom Ryan. We all know Tom and his redshirting history. I would love for Ryder to redshirt but with Tom after last week I highly doubt.
My upset special Hepner wins and shocks the world!
The more I think about it the more I think Tom Ryan is going to wrestle Kilkeary. In Toms mind Ohio state can win this dual. I know it’s not going to happen but look how the staff will view it
125 we can win
133 we can win
141 we can win
149 we can win
157 Wilcox will keep it close
165 we can win
174 loss
184 Rotogotzke can put anyone on their back.. anybody!
197 loss by bonus
285 can Ohio state make this match actually matter?
In a perfect world Ohio state is in this match. No way Shumate is wrestling. We all know what Rotogotzke can do. He is never out of any match.
If this match was at home and we had the same refs I actually could see this being a good dual lol.

According to FLO Ryder is still going to RS.
Vinny did beat Davis but probably should've been called for an illegal move on the winning TD.

Also do not believe what is written on Flo. I don’t know where they get their information.
1. Hoffman is done for season from everything I have heard and they say he may be wrestling in the postseason. That’s not happening. Even them mentioning Hoffman may wrestle makes this article not credible.
2. Tom Ryan in a post match interview said they wanted to test Ryder in a pressure situation before deciding a redshirt. I take that in my mind as he passed the test and the redshirt will be pulled. Listen to his press conference.
Flo is wrong quite a bit.
They were ranking Carson way after he said he was done for year.
They had demilio at 141 and sammy at 149 in early season lineups way after they announced they were moving up. https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/11121135-early-line-up-look-ohio-state-wrestling-2023-24
Here is the article I’m referring to. These guys literally did no research and just printed an article. Gonzales was always going 133. Geog was always going 197. They literally just looked at the lineup on paper and just started plugging people in
Just a few off the top of my head. I don’t believe Flo has any knowledge on this situation from behind the scenes. There is no secret insider working for Flo.

InterMat forum (formerly The Mat) has a thread devoted to UM vs Iowa and it looks really close.
Ohio State over UM was a huge upset given what had to happen. Lots of heroes but Rogotzke and Feldman stand out. As years pass, we will be hard pressed to find a bigger upset dual victory by the Bucks.
