Discussion Topic: David Taylor and Marcus Blaze

Does David Taylor moving to Oklahoma State impact Ohio State’s chances of landing Marcus Blaze?
I can argue it either way.
Ohio State’s top competitor for Blaze appears to be Penn State. Taylor is taking with him from Penn State a lightweight coach in Kennedy and a lightweight post graduate in Gilman.
Suddenly, Penn State is without two would be training partners for Blaze. That’s significant.
But for those same reasons, is Oklahoma State now in play for Blaze? It was not one of the six schools he visited. However, Taylor is a massive draw and you can be sure he’s trying to get Blaze on campus.
Discuss.

Hey now. On balance, Taylor’s move and his staff hires appear to help more than hurt the Bucks.
Oklahoma State is a non Big 10 program with middling academics that has fallen beneath Ohio State, Iowa and Michigan as a challenger to Penn State.
The Cowboys wouldn’t be my first choice until I saw what Taylor can do.

Anyone ever see Drew and David Taylor in the same room at the same time?
Not an original fake screen name, David.

I’ve read Blaze wants to be close to home and Stillwater isn’t close.

Similar to the thread topic, I do wonder what kind of shift in recruiting that this Taylor-to-OKST move will have. I'm looking forward to watching it all unfold.
I will say this - LaDarion Lockett seems like a solid wrestler for Taylor & Co. to build with.
But... #GoBuckeyes :-)

Yes, teching Meyer Shapiro in FS alone speaks volumes.
Between Lockett, Duke and Blaze you really do have a 3-headed monster leading the c/o 2025 this season.

Marcus Blaze has little chance of going to Oklahoma state. One thing he mentions is he wants to stay relatively close to home. Oklahoma state is just too far ecspecially having a brother also competing in college. He hasn’t even visited Oklahoma state and is said to be close to making his decesion. Just too late in the recruiting process at this point. It will come down to Ohio state and Penn state.
However I do believe this could hurt the chances with Bassett. I believe Ohio state Penn state and Oklahoma state will all be in the mix. May come down to a bidding war for him.
