FUNDRAISER COUNTDOWN - PLEASE JOIN TODAY!
Today is the day! We want to thank everyone who has taken an active role in the past year for helping us reach our financial goals. Your support significantly impacts our ability as a program to turn our vision into a reality, which is evident from our success over the last two years. Our strides toward greatness have been a talking point in the wrestling community, but we will not rest until a team National Title is both achieved and sustained. Buckeye faithful we want and need you to share the same passion for the importance of this countdown. We have two primary goals:
1) 1,000 Members Goal - It is irrelevant the donation level that you give, we are simply asking that you join The Buckeye Wrestling Club. It is power in numbers and with the lowest donation tier at $35 we are asking everyone who shares our vision to join. You may not think that your $35 donation will impact our yearly financial goal, even though it does, but your contribution is vital for reaching our membership goal!
2) $250,000 Annual Financial Goal - This financial goal supports club staff (volunteer coach, club coach, director of operations/video coordinator etc.), summer training, marketing and other important areas that is often behind the scenes, but critical to the development of the entire program. Being great is not a small time operation, we will be the best and it takes tremendous sacrifice from many people. We are very grateful for the support we have been given and we look forward to continued growth and success.
FYI: The following is just a little more information to educate you on The Buckeye Wrestling Club. Our operating budget is $250,000 a year. This figure is absolutely necessary to reach if we want to keep the current staff together and continue our upward mobility. Each year we project this number to increase because our plans include being the best club in the United States of America. It will take time, but the vision is grand. The goal is to eventually endow the club so that we can have a world class club and training facility. When our graduates, like Tommy Rowlands, wants to train for the Olympic Gold they can do so right here at Ohio State. The Buckeye Wrestling Club will make these opportunities available to our young men.
