I just found out today that there will be a movie loosely based around wrestling showing this Sunday the 22nd at 3 PM at the Canton Palace Theater. Apparently it will be available for streaming afterwards. I'm going to try to go there with my boys this Sunday.

I did see it yesterday. The theater was jam packed - to the point where I couldn't find three consecutive seats and had to have my youngest son on my lap. I think I only saw one other person in a wrestling shirt. It had enough wrestling in the plot to satisfy me, but the wrestling was a small enough part of the movie that it appealed to a broader audience. It was mostly autobiographical, and the topics transcend the sport.
It was directed by a 1985 state qualifier from North Canton Hoover. The movie was about him, but being older now he actually starred as the father in the movie.
For anyone who has young kids like me: there were some mature topics, but I'd put the rating as 'PG' (not sure if it has an official rating). For what it's worth the description of the movie said recommended for ages 10+.
