Rocco Welsh will face Levi Haines at the allstar classic in November.

This all but confirms Welsh will compete and not redshirt, and that he’s returning at 174. Haines is bumping up two weights from where he won the NCAA title in March. Nice test for Rocco.

What does this mean for the Bucks’ upperweights? Kharchla is a natural 174. Will he go up or down? Does he wrestle Rocco for the spot?

Also, a little surprised both Tom Ryan and Cael Sanderson would agree to this match. It’s going to happen one or more times down the road. Why rush it?

Haines just beat O’Toole at world trials. I know it’s freestyle but Haines did get a few legit TD.

Lehigh kid wrestled in All Star meet but wasn’t starter later in the year.

It’s an all star match. It doesn’t mean either one will wrestle this year, as they both have redshirts to burn. Not sure what the plan is with Carson to wrestle off or go 165 but I doubt we see him go to 184. Levi Haines is not gaurenteed a spot either. Facundo his teammate beat him 6-0 at Olympic trials. Facundo also gave Burroughs a great match. I wouldn’t count out Facundo. That is just how loaded Penn state is. Feldman at heavy is about the only lock for Ohio state right now.

Facundo wrestled 170 in high school and 79 kg at pan ams. If he does make 157 I can’t imagine he will be beating kasak. I guess he sees that as his only opportunity but cutting that much minimizes performance.
