Ohio State v UTC - 11/14/24
My thoughts:
125 - I don't see pre-match notes on either side, so not sure who goes here for OSU. I'm guessing McCrone. Ty Tice went for UTC in their opener. I'll take McCrone by pinfall!

133 - I expect Bouzakis for the Bucks. Ethan Cooper went in their dual opener, but Blake Boarman is ranked 31st. I would think bonus either way.
10-0 OSU
141 - Jesse Mendez takes on #24 Isaiah Powe. I think Mendez gets a major, at least. More wouldn't surprise me.
14-0 OSU
149 - Looks like DD will get Dayne Dalrymple. I think DD pushes for bonus late, but comes up short. Convincing decision.
17-0 OSU
157 - If we're assuming Paddy is here, and Sammy is at 165, this should be a nice match for Paddy. Tavian Camper wrestled against VT, but Noah Castillo is ranked 31st by InterMat. Paddy handles Camper easily, but if it's Castillo, I'm thinking it's a close one, but the Buck comes out on top.

165 - So, is where we see Sammy. Jackson Hurst went for UTC in their opener, and I think Sammy puts up bonus.

174 - Does Welsh burn his RS? I doubt Kharchla is ready to go, so who wrestles here for OSU? I'm guessing Hepner for now. Sergio DeSiante is ranked 31st, so whomever it is has a game opponent. I'll take Bryce by 2.

184 - Ryder gets Kamdyn Munro, who had a close match against VT. But wrestling Ryder is a different animal, and I think he hits one of those big moves and gets the pinfall.
33-0 OSU
197 - Geog should get #30 Connor Strong or David Harper. I think Luke gets a decision over either.
36-0 OSU
285 - Feldman takes on Ethan Vergara, and I'm thinking tech. Early 2nd period.
41-0 OSU
Overall - The Bucks should cruise, with a couple of intriguing matchups along the way.

Yes, the 5 events only applies to true freshman, so Welsh would have to burn his RS.

OSU now ranked #3 in the latest FLO rankings. I think they are right there with Iowa. TR definitely thinking about letting Welsh lose at 184.

I don’t go to a lot of the duals because of distance but I had planned to go for Sammy’s first match back.
Unfortunately, I cannot because of something that came up. Two tickets for the first to PM me.

Vince did not sign yesterday and is a bit big for 133.
Sasso is probably overrated but hope not.
Welsh wouldn’t surprise me is the 184.

I think that once Rogotzke goes, Rocco redshirts unless Carson gets injured. No reason to burn both redshirts.

I think the Rogotzke benefits more than Welsh with a redshirt and Welsh at 184 at this time, makes the team a bigger medal threat. We will see how things play out.

But if Rocco RS, he avoids Staracci & Keckeisen. He would have to get through both of them if they wind up ranked #1-2. Let them graduate and then give yourself a better chance at a title.
