My thoughts
North Carolina
125 – Spencer Moore #23 – I will take McCrone here, possibly by bonus.
133 – Ethan Oakley #13 – I think Bouzakis should win this. Close one though.
141 – Jayden Scott – I think Mendez gets bonus here.
149 – Lachlan McNeil #6 – I will give the decision to McNeil, but I think this is a toss up with DD.
157 – Sonny Santiago #23 – Paddy is wrestling well, and I think he takes this one.
165 – Nicholas Fea – Sammy should get back on track and get a decision here.
174 – Josh Ogunsaya #16 – No idea who we see here. Hopefully Hepner is back healthy. Giving NC a decision, and hoping for nothing more.
184 – Gavin Kane #18 – This is a toss up for either Shumate or Rogotzke. I would wrestle Rogotzke here, and I think he can win a decision.
197 – Cade Lautt – I would send Shumate here if Geog isn’t available. I think Seth can win this, but I will go Lautt decision.
285 – Aydin Guttridge – Feldman, if healthy, should get bonus here.
I see 5 pretty clear wins for the Bucks, no clear wins for NC and 5 toss ups. Things would have to go really bad for the Bucks to lose this dual.
Lock Haven
125 – Lucas Fye – I see a tight cradle for McCrone in this one.
133 – Anthony Noto #14 – Great matchup. I favor Noto, but a pure toss up.
141 – Wyatt Henson #23 – DD should win this one.
149 – Lucas Kapusta #32 – Mendez by bonus.
157 – Nick Stampoulos – Paddy easily, possibly bonus.
165 – Caden Dobbins – Sammy should be able to get another decision here.
174 – Avery Bassett #29 – Again, no idea who takes the mat for the Buckeyes. A healthy Hepner makes this a toss up, anyone else and it’s a decision for Bassett.
184 – Colin Fegley #30 – I would favor Rogotzke or Shumate here.
197 – Tucker Hogan – I would favor Rogotzke or Shumate here as well.
285 – Ethan Miller – Another bonus win for Feldman.
I can’t see the Bucks losing this dual.
Iowa State
125 – Adrian Meza #28 – I think McCrone gets his third win. This was a fall in Vegas.
133 – Evan Frost #6 – Third tough match for Bouzakis. I will give Frost a decision.
141 – Jacob Frost #19 – Mendez by bonus.
149 – Anthony Echemendia #9 – DD will need to win the mat game. I think if he can get a takedown, he can control Echemendia.
157 – Paniro Johnson #13 – Paddy won a very close one in Vegas. True toss up here.
165 – MJ Gaitan #14 – I don’t think Sammy has the stamina and strength to win this one.
174 – Aiden Riggins – Again, no idea who steps on the line for the Bucks. I think a healthy Hepner is a toss up and anyone else is decision ISU.
184 – Evan Bockman #14 – Toss up here with either Rogotzke or Shumate.
197 – Christian Carroll #22 – Favor Carroll here against anyone but a healthy Geog.
285 – Yonger Bastida #4 – Have to favor Bastida here, but really want to see this match.
I think a full, healthy Ohio State can win this. I don’t think we see a full, healthy Ohio State on Saturday, and I think ISU takes it.

Kharchla is getting the nod at 174. Kinda doubt we see him in all three bouts. Thinking that might be too much grind for his first competition in a year.

Hopefully Carson is healthy for the rest of the season.
Would be great if Hepner could be back to fill in at 165/174 for a match or two at each weight.

Ohio state should win all three matches easily regardless of who is in lineup. Iowa state will not be wrestling Echemendia or bastida. Both are injured.
Bouzakis I think is favored in all three matches. 133 is a much tougher weight than 125 and Noto has already lost to two guys outside the top 15. Frost and bouzakis both lost to same kid at cklv. Frost lost 7-3 and Bouzakis lost 6-5. Oakley he pinned last year. I am most looking forward to Bouzakis matches. Maybe I’m crazy but I think he has a legitimate chance to be a finalist this year. He is my NCAA darhorse right now. ( may not be a dark horse in a couple months). Computers like him also as he is now up to number 4 on wrestlestat rankings.
On a side note Nasir Bailey just got beat badly by the chatonooga kid Bouzakis beat also.
