National Duals, sponsored by Paycom will be held in Tulsa in November.
The 1st place team will receive $200K
2nd $150K
3rd $150K
4th $75K
Sounds like it will be 16 team dual tournament but probably wont include PSU.
Update coach Brands said they are excited about the the opportunity to compete.

Good concept but this is lacking without Iowa or Penn State. Wonder why they won’t do it. Feels like a good way to pile up injuries.

I love(d) National Duals. November 15-16 is really early, though. Interesting.

Cael said he wouldn't do it but not a 100% on Iowa. A few people in the know said they wouldn't so who knows.
Wonder how it would work for the program who wins, does that money go to the team or the university.

I think it will still be a fantastic tournament without PSU and Iowa.

Cael does what's best for PSU, not for wrestling -- and that's perfectly acceptable. His job is the HC at PSU, not the growth guru for wrestling. He has a stranglehold on the collegiate wrestling world right now so why would he want any changes? Answer, he doesn't unless he sees them as favoring his program.
This isn't a slight at all on Cael because is tOSU was dominating like PSU was, would any of us fans want any changes? Most likely not.

200k is a lot of money for some of these kids. I wonder if it gets divided by the 10 starters or if coaches and backups get a piece of it. A guy like paddy, or mccrone to get 20k each is huge for a guy not making big nil money.
Ohio state will be the big favorites to win it all. With Penn state out, Ohio state will be the team to beat. Oklahoma state loses 7 starters and Iowa loses Buchanon, Teemer, and Parco. Ohio state loses demilio and sasso is all but add in Davino and Welsh.

Nick, there’s no way of knowing what lineups will look like for next season. The portal will be very active after March, and Oklahoma State and other big spenders won’t miss a chance to jump on a difference maker.

I don’t care what happens in the portal Ohio state will be favored.Oklahoma state would have to get 5 title contender type of guys. That’s not happening.
Ohio state will be favored over anyone in the nation at three weighs. Mendez, welsh, Feldman.
Kharchla will be number two behind Haines if returns which I think he will
Davino is already top 5 type of wrestler and good chance we see him as a finalist next year.
There are 5 weights which will be very hard to beat for anybody.
Then bouzakis who can beat anyone and will be top 5 at 141 im guessing.
Mccrone and paddy should be top 10.
Brandon cannon seems to be on the right trajectory but still too early to tell. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is wrestling Iowa. The wrestle off is probably this week.
Shumate is number 16 and 10 seniors are graduating above him at 197. So between Geog/rotogotzke/ Shumate they will more than likely be top 10 also.
Iowa will have a better shot as they add Ferrari but still lose a lot. They would need a couple big pieces. Ohio state still could add pieces also but probably not with every guy more than likely in top 10. Ryan too loyal. He will have a lot of money if he doesn’t land Bassett and next year is a small window where Ohio state could push Penn state.

Isn't this Kharchla's last year?

Assuming he remains healthy.
Incidentally, the Bucks have had some lousy luck the last few years. Feldman broke his neck. Sasso was shot. Tom Ryan almost died in a car accident. Kharchla's knee injuries. Geog's injuries. I'd consider taking a more measured tone when discussing the future. Nothing's promised.
