If they all wrestled to seed would that be a successful tourny?

No. They got seeded low bc of uncertainty of lineups and weight changes
125 I’ll take 6 as successful
133 need higher
141 not successful if you don’t win
149 successful if 4
157. Higher to be successful
165 higher to be successful
174 2nd is ok
184 higher to be successful
197 higher to be successfull
285. Feldman should be third to be successful

Actually like McCrone and Cannon draw.
Nic did himself no favors and has a tough draw
Paddy, Ryder and Seth will have to do a lot of work in the consi bracket.

Nic had so many tight matches that didn't go his way, now he pays for it with a poor seed.

Bucks are off to amazing start. McCrone loses 3-2 and Nic loses 8-6.
McCrone has no offense and Nic has zero clue on how to defend a shot.

Jim, you beat me to it. I like mccrone and Bouzakis, but I’ve seen enough. Mccrone, zero offence, and bouzakis gives up way too many takedowns to get an AA. Nic can beat nearly anyone in the country, but could lose to about anyone too

On the bright side D'Emilio and Cannon looked great. Rygotske predictably looked one dimensional. It's odd to me that we have guys with dynamic offense with rapid fire shots like Jesse and Dylan. Then you have guys that cannot score off a leg attack like McCrone, Bousakis, and Rygotske. They are tie and scramble dependent. All three get lit up from guys who wrestle from space. Sammy let guys in on his legs all the time too but he could counter most shots. It's a far cry from the days where every guy in the lineup scored points in bunches. How I long for the day of 1st period tech falls that guys like NATO, Pletcher, Stieber, Bojo, Myles, Kollin, and Snyder.

Three into the semis. Cannon is a nice surprise and he gets a rematch against the Minnesota kid. It drives me nuts how many times we drop matches in the third period, and against people that the Bucks have previously beaten. Solid chance that most guys get to top 8, and auto qualify. McCrone is one I’m less confident in, based on his previous loss to the Wisconsin kid, who is very tough. Rygotske might be the next less sure thing, considering you just do catch and release he’s not that hard to beat.

I’ve never ever seen what I just saw in the Rygotskie consi match. He returns his opponent to the mat with force causing the Rutgers kid to undergo concussion protocol. Upon review the call is deemed an Illegal slam. Both coaches engage in a spirited conversation. Rutgers returns to the mat and they raise Ryders arm as the victor. The Rutgers coaches protest, the refs for some reason go back to the review, then raise the Rutgers kids hand. I’ll need a lot of background explaining because I have never seen something like that occur. If illegal why was Ryders arm raised? If Rutgers can’t continue under the new rules does he forfeit out of the tourney?
