Regardless of how we feel about his season (and I'm sure he's disappointed), the weight class clears out next season. If he and can regain his mojo, there's no reason why he shouldn't be a high finisher--if not a champ--sometime over the next couple of seasons.

And Nick already has beaten Luffman, so Trumble, Kueter and Pitzer are ahead of him on the list. And he only lost to Trumble 5-3 in the cons. round, not too shabby. So if he can make some adjustment like you mentioned he could be right up there at the top 5 level.
