I wanted to list the best clinicians I have ever seen, hired, or watched.
1. Sergi, it was better than I dreamed; he was engaging and kind, and his tech was like a ballot, truly a great of all time and my all-time favorite. I don't know all these guys but my flex is I have his number...a hero of mine and I am a young kid around him.
2. Sammy Sasso- Brilliant, fun and tech was awesome. He met with every athlete and was engaged; you feel like he is a lifelong coach. He is a solid human being.
3. Joe McFarland- His tech is amazing, specific, and technical, and he thinks of things we don't realize need to be considered with position
4. Jose Rodriguez- This guy gets it; his skill is some of the best I have ever seen. I got to roll around with him, and he is different in all the best ways. I felt off balance even screwing around; that collar tie is hard nose. He is an excellent clinician and fun
5. Kyle Conel- Fun and engaging. You can't help but love his energy; he kept it simple but technical. He could show high-level tech that was easy for the kids to implement, and he showed them his throw. Fun is the theme.
6. Dominic Abounader- very technical and high intelligence related to where hands go and why, great setups and did things a little different, I recommend him, great stuff and expands the sport to the next level of movement.
7. Nate Tommesello- He is an NCAA Champ for a reason, his attacks to both sides was awesome. He showed how he knows which side to attack, his hand fighting and his mentality. great day, learned so much.
8.Garrett Lineberger; This cat is different and its awesome, his top game is the best, but he gets props from me for what he shows on his feet, its about position that leads to success, he is very very good in a clinic
9. Mike K- Great drills, high level pace, you learn position and methods to build your skills, and it doesn't hurt that Bryce Andonian drops in with him, those are off the charts days, they know wrestling.
10. Adam Kobella: He is a coach, his workouts are among my favorite, the guy can coach, his tech is high level, warm up is specific and drills mean to develop your individual skills.
Honorable mention: Nate Skonieczny, Cliff Fretwell(real good), Erik Burnett(The best) Todd Haverdal, Jeff leonard(he has built some of our best ever). Tervel, Ty Waltz.
I recommend everyone, at least once go to the US Open, it is the greatest wrestling experience I have ever had, only went once, but it was awesome. I could watch the highest level athletes train, the coaches interact with them, then walk up to them and ask questions. The kindest guys were Roper from Northern Iowa, he was so nice and we had a great talk, Sean Bormet( love his comments). You stand next to Olympic champs, World Champs, NCAA Champs and they don't mind talking. It is so Fun.
List of people I would love to have a camp with but haven't
Kolat- obvious, he is on another level
Martseller- I like him and want the breakdown of the underhook as he uses it.
JB- Goat
Rex Holman-I would love to have the combination of intellectual skills mixed with high level tech. He is the Thinker!
I know this is long, used AI for some of it to edit, and it's not me if there is no errors in spelling and grammar. I would love to hear who your bests are and who I forgot and need to go and see!
Have a great day!
Be well

Sergei was an assistant coach at Lehigh when my son was there. It was when he rolled around with Sergei that he realized that he wasn't going to be a world champion. He always had high praise for him as a coach.

Jose Rodriguez is a guy I haven’t thought about in a while.
His Ohio State career began on fire with a very good Vegas tournament. He looked like an immediate title threat. Then it fell apart and he started losing badly to nobodies. It was really odd.
Off mat troubles cost him a roster spot but he rebounded and won a D2 title at Notre Dame.

On April 6th & 13th, the Licking Heights Regional Training Center (LH RTC) had Cody Magrum out - PHENOMENAL!!!!!
Any time a guy can show one tie, two or three attacks from that tie, and then a couple of options from those attacks based on common trouble spots, I'm a fan.
And to add to it, he is (seems like) a KILLER HUMAN BEING! Great combo.
The next two Sundays, the LH RTC will host Dylan D'Emilio. We'll see what he has to offer. :-D
