Snyder and now Starroci. Hopefully this deters some
Future recruits away and share some with us. I remember Snyder taking a dig at Ohio state in an interview by saying Penn state culture is better and no one cusses and basically saying Penn state was even more superior in that sort of way. Not the picture I’m seeing here. Starroci has been a cancer for a long time. Staff looked the other way and paid him more than any wrestler in Penn state history to continue wrestling even though they could have just let him move on in year six. There is no way Penn state can let him wrestle at nlwc after this publication. There are some pretty serious allegations here and I’m not sure if he’s going to be affiliated with anyone going forward. Probably a move to mma is next would be my guess.

No way this can be true. None of it. Starocci claims to be a man of God.

Any other insight or link to this?
Never mind. Just a click away. So drunk he was asked to leave a fraternity. Classic. Then tried to run from police. .22% blow.
Starocci is grotesque.

Unless these allegations go away quietly, this may be the end for Cael and his staff.
There is history in Happy Valley that is undeniable, and I don't see PSU's president sticking her neck out to protect Cael's.

Just wait until a national journalist gets a hold of this. This is sexual misconduct inside and outside the room. Reports of theft. Naked pictures being sent of teammates.
Penn state fans are very worried Cael may be done after this. Not much room after the Jerry Sandusky situation. I’m guessing Cael will be under investigation very soon.

I'm inclined to agree. Good chance Cael gets the boot, the team is placed on probation and the talent disperses.
And Cael appears to deserve whatever he gets. Kudos to Beau Bartlett for sticking out his neck to do what's right.

With Snyder and Davis also getting in trouble caels seat is super super hot right now. I could see him getting an administrative leave pending investigation real soon.
So Cael and staff get fired, Marcus blaze gets released and he come to the buckeyes!!!! I think this could actually become a real possibility as the buckeyes were runners up to his services and he knows the staff here best. One can at least dream. I want to apologize to anything mean I’ve ever said about Marcus in advance and hope Tom Ryan saved up some money.

The only way Cael and crew keep their jobs is if they report and cooperate. Which seems they did not.
This relates to a broader issue regarding Title IX. It explicitly states that if you believe a crime has been committed, you are responsible for reporting it to both the university and the police. In Ohio, state laws require us to notify the police if we believe a crime has been committed. Now I don't have a J.D., but if it feels wrong, you report to both.
Without giving names, a particular university AD said we are required to notify the University first per Title IX, and if they believe it's a crime, they will report it. But here is where it can impact the coach. It's borderline a crime, and if you notify the Title IX office and not the police, you can be charged. I know the coaches in that meeting had no idea they could be prosecuted for failing to report a crime in Ohio. Thinking you did the right thing, you can be charged. This particular AD raised his voice and said, 'It's not a crime.' I, for one, don't take that risk and report to both. This AD thought his job was to protect the University, not the students or staff. Nepotism is not a good reason to hire people.
Don't know how Cael and company survive this. It's common to read the headlines and believe, within the bubble of a University, that rules don't apply. They 100% do! FYI, this is nut.s

There's an assertion from Bartlett in the article that the locker room snapchat issue was reported to Cael Sanderson specifically, and that nothing came of it. That alone is borderline.
The other allegations are far more serious, and some of them are alleged to have taken place at PSU wrestling facilities.
The whole story is sickening and if true, there's nothing to hope for other than for due process and justice to be served.
Leave the speculation about current PSU recruits and roster for another day.

I’m not sure Cael is done yet. I have colleagues who are PSU fans and thought JoPa got hosed. Those same people think Cael is unimpeachable.
I haven’t seen the recent TOSU documentary but want to. I don’t have HBO or Max. But Jim Jordan SEEMS to have plausible deniability, along with the passage of time. Will Cael? Will the wrestlers have the courage to speak up in real time?
As far as guessing about recruits and roster moves, that is what a forum is for.

Hi Roe. I would strongly encourage you to watch the Surviving Ohio State documentary. As someone who bleeds scarlet and gray, it left me with a very dirty feeling toward those in power. The administration covered for the doctor’s wicked behavior for decades. Jordan and Hellickson are cowardly men who lack honor. Fred Feeney’s story was among the most powerful although there were many, many others. Maybe Max has a one week free trial or something.
I would hope most organizations have a zero tolerance for the sort of nonsense alleged against Starocci. I’m also not naive enough to believe organizations have honor and integrity. They don’t. None of them. In a fair and just society, Cael would resign in disgrace but he won’t. He would have to be forced out by someone high up at the university who is willing to withstand the inevitable blow back by big dollar donors who want to continue seeing the Lions at the top of the wrestling world each year.
