National Champ Lucas Byrd only beat Betancourt 3-0? At home no less? Was it one of those matches where the losing wrestler basically didn't engage and it was just a stingy match?

I cant believe he is still around. Betamcourt has entered the wrestlestat top 100 at exactly number 100 in d1 rankings in his sixth season. Lucas byrd is actually in his 7th season of wrestling.

How to you get 3 points, one TD then no escape and both guys chose neutral?? Did Byrd have an escape plus a ride out plus a stalling point? Just wondering how the match was scored.

I did find out the details of the match. First period, two stall calls on Betencourt, 1-0 Byrd. Second period, Byrd rides out. Third period, Byrd escapes and withstands multiple attacks including a near TD by Betencourt, 1 pt. escape & 1 pt. riding time, 3-0 Byrd. For whatever reason, still way too close a match given each guys credentials.
