This should be a shutout. I have two tickets if anyone wants them - paging John Ice. Let me know.

I hadn't paid attention but noticed that both Ohio State and Nebraska are not heading to Vegas. Sensible considering that National Duals was a similar gauntlet. But it hurts that tourney's rep a bit. Okie State is still going. Interesting as David Taylor is testing his wrestlers a lot while his mentor, Cael, shies away from hard competition early in the season.

Eddie Money has…two tickets to Paradise.
If John doesn’t - or anyone else doesn’t - swoop them up in a day or two, you might be hearing from me.

I always got the impression that David LOVED competing more than Cael did. Cael LOVES wrestling and I think he enjoys wrestling in the room as much as the competition and he's taken the international approach to college competition -- do it as little as possible while still peaking for the most important tournament of the year.

Probable lineup:
125 (3) Nick Bouzakis vs. Damion Ryan/Shay Korhorn
133 (2) Ben Davino vs. Trayce Eckman
141 (1) Jesse Mendez vs. A.J. Rallo
149 (8) Ethan Stiles vs. Zac Cowan/Nate Higley
157 (5) Brandon Cannon vs. Jeb Prechtel/Gray Ortis
165 (10) Paddy Gallagher vs. Noah Hall
174 (5) Carson Kharchla vs. Grant O'Dell
184 (6) Dylan Fishback /Cayaen Smith vs. Gavin Ricketts/Jack Ring
197 (14) Luke Geog vs. Andrew Liber
285 (3) Nick Feldman vs. Daulton Mayer
Other than possibly 184, this could be the lineup going forward into 2026?

Very disappointed in the announcers. I wish one of them could have some actual wrestling knowledge or experience.

I never understand why this is a problem with BTN+ year after year. Most knowledgeable college wrestling fans could do an adequate job at play-by-play, and many would be happy to do it for free if given the opportunity. I'm sure there's some supposed hurdle or excuse why BTN doesn't solicit help from the wrestling community in that regard, but I don't know why they'd say no to free help that would result in a better product.

I saw where Kilkeary and Shumate won their weights at the Kent State Open over the weekend. Birden was second at 165.
Kilkeary seems destined to be like Andre Gonzales, a good wrestler that can't break into the lineup. And is Shumate still in the running to be the starter at 197?
