How bad does this one get?
Very few favorites for Iowa. Maybe Ferrari?

Two best teams in the country at present are Ohio State and PSU. Our interest in Iowa v PSU is only from a historical perspective. On paper, it's ugly. Here's some info from a twitter post by "Cornell Kevin":
Penn St CURRENT starters are 90-2 right now with a 88% bonus rate. Again, their current starters with Davis and Barr.
From 125-197 they are 82-0 with a 93% bonus rate
Ohio St current starters are 106-15.
From 125-157 they are 56-3. Only Stiles has lost (9-3). 2 of Stiles losses were first week of season at Clarion Open (fall to Joy, dec to Tyus). His only dual loss was in SV to Frost.
So first 5 weights in the Penn St Ohio St Dual are especially ?
Penn St (125-157) 46-0 93% bonus
Ohio St (125-157) 56-3 81% bonus

Besides Ferrari & Kueter, Peterson beat Lilledahl last year 4-1, if the old Ayala (NCAA runnerup) shows up tonight, and Kennedy can keep it close with Haines, there are slim chances of upsets, and will the Iowa crowd atmosphere be a factor? Will the PSU bonus points be way too much to counter? This should be entertaining.

Jack: In a word--no. My opinion of course but the old Ayala keeps getting beat (I think Davino tore up his confidence) while Peterson and Kennedy will keep it close at best. I wish this was likely to be a competitive dual but my guess is PSU thrives on the boos and annihilates Iowa.

Wow.
That has to be the worst loss in Carver-Hawkeye history, right?

That was ugly but unsurprising. It was always gonna be ugly. This might be Cael’s best team yet, which is scary because the lineup is packed with freshmen and sophomores.
Bucks I’m afraid could get a similar whooping next month. Only Jesse is a clear favorite. And unlike last night it’ll be at Rec Hall.

Feldman is not a clear favorite? That is crazy to think that. Mirasola has two losses this year to Carroll(10-4)and Taylor(7-2)who both lost to Feldman this season. The h2h wasn’t close last year either. Kueter is very hurt this year, do not let that persuade your opinion. Feldman is a huge favorite.
Jesse gets bonus points.
Duke did not dominate Williams which gives me hope that cannon has a chance.
Ayala was in the match and in third was pretty deep on a td. Davino is absolutely able to win.
I think Rocco and Fishback may come to ride outs.
Bouzakis and Lilladahl is a coin flip. Bouzakis is so strong for 125.
Ohio state has a very slim chance to win but I see 7 points as the bare minimum and think they win at minimum one out of bouzakis, cannon, fiahback, and Davino.
2 wins underperforming slightly
3 wins expected
4 wins or more over preform.
It will be a tall task in happy valley but as a fan if we don’t win three I will personally be disappointed.

I agree with Nick for a change. PSU looked excellent last night but not unbeatable. Bucks can win the first three plus 157, 174, 184 and 285. Should be competitive at 149 as well. We're only outclassed at 165 and 197. You wouldn't bet on the bucks straight up but they should give them a more competitive match than Iowa.

To be fair to Nick, Feldman was the favorite by most pickers not named Ben Askren. To be honest if you go back and watch their match last year Mirasola was a closer match then you would’ve thought. Not many people attack Feldman and get to his legs. Mirasola does. He’s a matchup problem for Feldman, just like Michigan and NC State.

...and to be fair, Askren isn't going to pick against a kid from his club.
