Watched him vs Echemendia. He's all defense but really good at it.
My strategy:
--Push him backwards. You need to get the officials to pressure him to shoot
--Shoot double legs. Finishing a single against him is near impossible.
--snap, spin.

The sequence where Ech was in on the single and Vega backstepped and basically went to half guard before wrestling up and getting his leg out was wild. Kid has serious talent, but I think you hit the nail on the head here, I wonder how much he is "figured out" the rest of the year. We not infrwquently see guys burst onto the scene with a unique skill set, then get scouted.
