Davino also beat Austin DeSanto, again. Looking stellar. Jesse looked out of shape oddly against McKenna. Just no answer to his offense. I feel like that was a similar scenario last time they wrestled as well. Other Buckeye notes, surprised that Buzakis didn’t wrestle. Freestyle is actually an area where he is relatively consistent. Kilkeary and Bucks recruit Antonio Mills competed at 57kg. No notable wins for Vinny. Mills beat Joey Cruz of Iowa and gave Lilldahel a 3-0 match. I didn’t watch it, but that’s the result on the bracket. E’than Birden went 3-2 and Shumate competed. In none Buckeye news Ridge Lovett is on a tear, and Mike Machiavello is still beating really good dudes you think he will lose to. Question, did Ryder Rygotske disappear? Hadn’t seen an open result or off season result at all in the last calendar year. I would think Freestyle would be something he is real good at.

Rogotzke is competing in Greco and advanced to the consolation finals.

I’d have loved to see Cannon but I’m guessing he wants to give the knee some rest.

Dang, Davino is good.

You have to be incredible to beat Jax Forrest. Davino has done it a bunch of times. What a stud.

Should've been 10-4.

He did wrestle well and that was Merrill after a quarter loss instead of a semi loss which means his heart and intention were in it.

Lefty Hi C was beautiful. Got hard snapped into a takedown which is a hard no. That last takedown was feet to back.

His progression and development have been a slow steady rise and he is really an excellent wrestler now.

tOSU recruit Michael Boyle wins U20 97 kg in dominant fashion. 10-0 tech over Max Konopka (#1 ranked nationally at 215) in the quarters. Closest match was 11-2 in the finals. Ferocious hand fighting and brutal head snaps. Scored with a variety of leg attacks but was particularly effective from an underhook. Most impressive.

I saw an interview where Boyle said he was going heavyweight next year as a senior, so that will fit in nicely with Feldman being a college senior next year.

Interesting set of results at 57 kg for U20s. Loc Weber of Dublin Coffman beat Seachrist in a rematch of the Brecksville and State semi final. Weber then got beat 13-2 by Mills. Then Mills got tech’d by Grey Burnett.

Rylan Wax wins world team spot. Going to be a freshman at Dublin Coffman. I’m guessing that makes Ohio state a very strong favorite to eventually land him.

Upon looking further 7th grader Chase Randolph and Spencer Davern won 15u us open also. Both dublin coffman kids A lot of talent coming through Columbus area right now and ecspecially Dublin Coffman. Coffman has shumate and birden already there. Ohio state seems to always be able to keep Columbus best kids. I grew up near Perrysburg. Half the fans there are Michigan. It’s a big difference from the Columbus area. These kids I’m sure will be training at the ORTC. I would be shocked if they went elsewhere.

Columbus kids to grab
Webber
Wurster
Randolph
Davern
Wax
Rowlands( 3 of them)
Kharchla
Borgers-lives in Dublin who is wrestling at Blair academy
