► Add to the Discussion Discussion Topic: Ohio State Fair to add Folkstyle Wrestling Team Events Ken Ramsey Sr. added to this discussion on May 24, 2008 The Ohio State Fair International Wrestling will add folkstyle team events in both High School (grades 9-12 as of the 2008-2009 school year) and Middle School (grades 6-8 as of the 2008-2009 school year). This will be a trial for 16 team events to begin with the 2009 tournament. There will be 12 weights in the HS division (103-111-120-130-140-151-163-176-190-205-221-Maximum 285) and 12 weights in the MS division (78-84-91-98-106-114-123-133-144-156-168-Maximum 220). Entry fee is $180.00 per team due no later than July 15, 2008. Rosters will be due at weigh-ins. Entries will be limited to the first 8 teams in each division. All teams will have a minimum of 3 dual matches (some 4). Team plaques will be awarded to the top 3 placing teams in each division (they will include a picture of winning wrestlers and coaches). Teams will wrestle two meets on Friday August 1st and 1 or 2 meets on Saturday August 2nd. Coaches may enter by calling Ken Ramsey Sr. at 614-439-3520. The original 8 trial teams in each division will gain the first 8 spots in the 2009 tournament. The 2009 Team Tournament will expand to 16 teams in 3 divisions for males (Middle School, High School & a "new" Open) and two "new" 8 team female divisions (High School & Open).
